I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
